Legendary Ghanaian Highlife singer George Darko has died at age 73.
George passed away on Wednesday, March 20, 2024. He is credited as the originator of music genre ‘Borga highlife’.
Just a few days ago, another old time highlife singer K.K Kabobo also died after a short illness.
George Darko surfaced on the music scene in the late 1960s. His thrilling highlife songs include ‘Akoo te brofo’ and ‘Odo Colour’.
