Hajia Fati Habib-Jawula has died at age 78.
Hajia Habib-Jawula was the NDC Women’s Organiser in the Northern Region from 1997 to 2000 and also served as a Member of the Council of State from 1992 to 1996.
She died on December 15, 2020 and was buried the following day in accordance with Islamic tradition.

Hajia Habib-Jawula spent 15 years of her professional career teaching English Language at the Tamale Secondary School and the Tamale Teacher Training College.
Late Prof. John Evans Atta-Mills appointed her as the ambassador to Denmark in 2009.
The deceased was the wife of the late Alhaji Habib Jawula (Founding Member of the Progress Party) and niece of former Convention People’s Party (CPP) flag bearer, Dr Abu Sakara.
Further, she was the sister-in-law of Lepowura M.N.D. Jawula, former Chairman of the Ghana Football Association and former Chief Director of the Ministry of Harbours and Railways and the Ministry of Health.
The founder of NDC Flt. Lt Jerry John Rawlings also passed away this year at the Korle Bu Teching Hospital after a short illness.
A young woman stormed the home of the former President and demanded to have access to the dead body.
She stated that Rawlings was not dead and that if the family allowed her she will bring him back to life. CLICK here to read the full story.
