Members of the Seventh-day Adventist Church may not vote in the 2024 general elections which will be held on Saturday, December 7.
The church has requested the Electoral Commission to change the date for the upcoming elections since it falls on a Saturday, which will conflict with Sabbath, a holy day dedicated to the worship of God.
The religious group is therefore making a strong case for an amendment to the December 7 elections.
The church proposes that the first or second Tuesday of November in every general election year will be more convenient to promote inclusive democracy. SOURCE: Kasatintin.com
