Some supporters of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) stormed the studios of Despite Media’s UTV on Saturday evening and disrupted an ongoing entertainment talk show, United Showbiz.
The group said they invaded the studio to demand an NPP representation on the United Showbiz because the entertainment programme had turned into a political show.
Last Saturday, the NPP wrote a letter to UTV to desist from discussing politics on the television programme but Kwame A-Plus, one of the panelists tore the said letter on air.
The hooligans identified as members of the NPP youth wing alleged that A-Plus has been insulting President Nana Akufo-Addo and his Vice; they want him to apologize.
The Ghana Police Service have since arrested 16 persons responsible for the invasion following a complaint by Despite Media. See the post below.
