A video circulating online suggests that an unidentified senior military officer has been shot dead in the Central Region.
‘According to a video circulating online, a Chief Military Officer was fatally shot in his car behind his wheel at Millennium City, Kasoa over a land dispute’, Ghanaian blog SikaOfficial reported on X.
The Millennium City appears to be a hot spot for land litigations.
Local media Kasapafmonline reported in August 16, 2021 that ‘Military officers numbering about 10 have allegedly assaulted construction workers injuring five of them in the process at Millennium city in the Gomoa East District of the Central Region over a land dispute.
As a means to stop the unwarranted land issues in the country,one social media user Hand of God has recommended that ‘The government should just sell Kasoa off to foreign investors(Chinese, Lebanese) and let them use the place as an animal sanctuary because I don’t get it.
