The incident, which led to the taxi driver’s incarceration happened on February 28, 2020 in the Eastern Region.
Briefing the court, the prosecutor said Daniel Ofori, who was being monitored by the police MTTD for other road traffic infractions was spotted at the Koforidua Galloway traffic light zone and ordered to park.
But he refused and drove away with one Sergeant Asante Peprah who jumped on the bonnet in an attempt to avoid being run over by the vehicle.
Sergeant Peprah hanged on the bonnet to a distance of 300 metres as Daniel drove him on top speed.
He was however forced to stop after another driver incidentally blocked his way, leading to his arrest.
