The house of God has become a target for most robbers in recent times.
A local Assembly of the Assemblies of God Church at Ogome, a suburb of Odumase Krobo in the Eastern region has been robbed.
Kasatintin.com gathers that, thieves broke into the church auditorium on Thursday and stole musical instruments worth over a billion cedis.
The robbers chiseled and removed the burglar-proof window frames of the church building and carried out their nefarious operation.
They run away with power amplifiers, audio mixer, keyboard, guitar, audio link, compressor and microphones.
It appears the stolen items have been transported to Accra.
A reverend minister told Starr News ‘One of our members from Odumase boarded a Hyundai commercial vehicle to Accra that day, when they got to the junction, a guy stopped the vehicle and they loaded items packed into black polythene bags and Sellotaped. So the mate asked ‘where are you going with this equipment at the time? Are you going to a church program? the guy didn’t mind him.
He added ‘The boot was full so they booked one seat for the guy so he sat and put the audio links and others on the seat. The guy alighted at Novotel in Accra’.
The Assemblies of God Church has since reported the incident to the police.
