Five police officers have allegedly assaulted a TV3 journalist in Sekondi-Takoradi, Western part of Ghana.
Eric Nana Gyetuah, who also works with Connect FM as morning show producer is reported to have been abused by the officers at a popular restaurant, God Is Love Chop Bar on Thursday, February 3, for taking pictures of some suspects in the company of police officers.
The suspects are believed to have murdered a returnee from abroad two years ago.
According to reports, both the officers and the suspects were hungry, so they stopped by God Is Love Chop Bar to grab some food.
The sight of the suspects eating with their handcuffs still on them intrigued the TV3 news reporter who took pictures of the scene.
The officers spotted Nana Gyetuah and asked him to delete the photos but he refused.
This led the angry cops to beat him up.
Nana Gyetuah suffered swollen eyelids with blood oozing from his swollen mouth.
