US President Donald Trump is determined to control illegal immigration in his country.
Since he take over power, the Trump administration has introduced a number of fierce measures to deal with the migration crisis.
Now, the US Immigration and Customs Enforcement has developed an App to make it easier for illegal migrants to volunteer information to aid their own deportation.
The department announced on its official X page ‘If you’re ready to self-deport, submit your intent to depart on the new CBP Home mobile app: 📶 go.dhs.gov/wpJ x.com/CBP/status/190…’.
Meanwhile, a total of 150 Ghanaians are currently in detention in the US, 50 of the detainees have received final deportation orders and are expected to return to Ghana by the middle of the year.
The Minister for Foreign Affairs, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa revealed that 3 Ghanaians have already been processed for deportation. They are scheduled to leave the US on commercial flights to Ghana between March 19 and April 1, 2025.
