‘Rockstar’ Kuami Eugene has won the Artiste of Year at the just ended Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA).
Kuami Eugene beat top musicians Sarkodie and Kofi Kinaata to win the most envious award at the VGMAs which took place on Saturday 29th August, 2020.
The ‘Angela’ hitmaker also bagged Highlife Artiste of the Year at the same awards night. This is the third consecutive time the musician has won the category.
Industry players had widely predicted Kofi Kinaata and Sarkodie as possible winners of the coveted Artiste of the Year award.
There is a heated debate on social media as to whether Kuami Eugene genuinely deserved that biggest honour.
Kasatintin.com has rigorously followed the social media discussions and can report that die-hard fans of the competing artistes are convinced their side is the best and should have won the award.
But the argument will not and cannot affect the decision of the organizers of the music awards.
Kuami Eugene, who is known in real life as Eugene Kwame Marfo has been officially declared as the 2020 VGMA Artiste of the Year. Nobody can change that!
