A Nigerian Magistrate Court in Ado-Ekiti has remanded 20-year-old Joy Ikoja for attempting to cut off her boyfriend’s manh00d.
Ikoja has been dragged before the court for unlawfully inflicting wounds on Ibrahim Usman by tearing his scrotal sac.
The suspect committed the offence on April 12,2025 at about 8.00 in the evening at Irona area, in Ado-Ekiti, Ikoja.
The prosecutor said the offence committed by Ikoja is punishable under Sections 186 and 255 and Sections 256(a) and 181(d) of the Criminal Laws of Ekiti State of Nigeria 2021.
The prosecutor further indicated that the suspect may likely jump bail, as her current name is different from the case she had earlier been tried.
The court therefore remanded her at the Correctional custody in Ado-Ekiti. The case will however be heard again on April 22,2025.
