Gender Minister-designate, Agnes Naa Momo Lartey could not be sworn into office today, Friday, January 25,2025 due to her late arrival at the crucial ceremony.
But for her lateness, Agnes should have been part of her colleague appointees who were sworn into office by President John Mahama.
Although she is yet to offer any explanations for her actions, some media users have expressed their disappointment with her behaviour, when the incident was first reported by JoyNews.
‘In an Ideal world they should actually withdraw her nomination, to teach her and others some basic lessons…’, Maame Esi reacted on X.
Nana Kwasi Eshu added’Starting on a bad note. Huh’.
But not everyone is going hard on the Gender Minister. Onua literally begged his fellow netizens to take the matter easy.
He said ‘Everyone trying to judge this woman but until you know what actually delayed her. Let’s be calm with her please’
Agnes Naa Momo Lartey faced the Appointments Committee of Parliament on Wednesday, January 22, 2025 as part of her vetting process (Watch the video below).
She is expected to take charge of gender, children, and social protection issues in the country.
