Ghanaian journalist Bridget Otoo has made a suggestion to the Catholic Church to review the celibacy rule and allow the priests in the church to marry.
She opined that the numerous sex scandals in the church in recent times effectively echoes the general view that Catholic priests are no longer able to abstain from sex.
Bridget Otoo proposed that Roman Fathers who refuse to marry should be castrated saying;
‘I’m sorry for suggesting that Catholic priests be allowed to marry, I was trying to be kind. If they won’t change their pedophilic, sodomizing young boys at the alter, raping women and having multiple children all over with the church covering it, I suggest we castrate them’
