Ghanaian musician Dada Kwaku Duah, popularly known as Dada KD, has passed away at the age of 44.
Details surrounding his death are still emerging.
Dada KD’s Manager, King Pee, confirming the news to MyJoyonline.com in a report sighted by Kasatintin.com stated that ‘the musician fell ill on Friday, 16th May 2025, became unresponsive, and couldn’t talk.
They then rushed him to the Gbawe SDA Hospital, but unfortunately, he passed away on Friday evening’.
Dada KD was a prominent figure in Ghana’s music scene, especially in the highlife genre.
The artiste will be remembered for his soothing higlife songs such as ‘Odo Mu Anigye’, ‘Ene Me Nye’, ‘Yebeye Yen Ho Fi’, ‘So Mu Gye’, ‘Obiaa Se Eye’, among others.
Dada KD’s passing has sparked tributes from fans and fellow musicians, who recognise his incredible contributions to Ghanaian music.
Before his sudden demise, Dada KD was preparing for a show in London on 25 May 2025.
