Gloria Assan Arhin, the estranged wife of Eugene Arhin has reportedly for lack of evidence, dropped some of the accusations she leveled against her husband in a divorce suit she initially filed at the Accra High Court on Wednesday, February 10, 2021.
In her first petition to the court, Mrs Arhin suggested that she was leaving the marriage because her husband, who is now the acting Director of Communications at the seat of government physical abused her and chased other women, one of whom he had had a child with.
As part of her reliefs, Mrs Arhin pleaded with the court to order her husband to pay her the sum of GHS 2 million as compensation and also give her 50% of every property they have acquired and developed within the 4years of their marriage and that included the following:
1.A 5-bedroom residential property at East Legon which was supposed to be the matrimonial home of the couple
2.A 4-storey building comprising of 16 separate flats at Bubuashie, Accra.
3.An ongoing storey building comprising of 16 separate flats at Tuba, Kasoa.
4.A storey building comprising of apartments located at Teshie, Accra.
5.A residential property located at the AU Village at La, Accra.
6.Other houses at Senya Bereku in the Central Region and Ada Foah in the Greater Accra Region and other expensive private vehicles including Ford F150, Toyota Avalon,Toyota Lexus, Toyota Tundra and Hyundai Elantra.
But in an amended petition reportedly filed in court on Monday, February 15, 2021, Gloria Assan Arhin claimed that there is only one property in contention, which is an uncompleted 5-bedroom house located in Santor in the Kpone Katamanso District.
Mrs Arhin amended the petition because she could not prove the claims when the respondent filed his response.
