President Nana Akufo-Addo has commissioned an ultra modern social centre named after his late wife, Eleanor Akufo-Addo.
Eleanor passed away 30 years ago.The Eleanor Akufo-Addo Memorial Social Centre is located at Asante Mampong in the Ashanti Region.
Akufo-Addo’s daughter, Gyankoroma was present at the commissioning of the memorial park.
Some Ghanaians are demanding accountability on the cost of the building and how it was funded.
At the same event, Gyankoroma Akufo-Addo was seen receiving phone call while the national anthem was being played. She stood close to the President.
President Akufo-Addo has been dragged on social media for looking on as his daughter disrespected the national anthem.
The concern is that, he yelled at Mempeasem Chief, Nii Torgbor Obodai Ampaw VI for committing similar offence at a recent public function held in Accra. Watch video below.
