The cousin of Ali Bongo,General Brice Oligui Nguema will be sworn in as the transition president of Gabon on Monday,September 4, 2023.
Brave soldiers overthrew President Ali Bongo on Wednesday, 30th August,2023 to bring the Bongo family’s 53 years rule in the country to an end.
Gabon’s opposition leader, Albert Ondo Ossa has raised concern about the coup leaders installing Nguema as Gabon’s new Head of State.
According to him, the coup is a family affair aimed at keeping the Bongo Family in power.
Nguema is said to own three estates in USA worth over $1 million.
