50-year-old Nigerian man, Modu Isa, has survived a suicide attempt in Borno State on Friday evening, August 15, 2025.
Witnesses say he stabbęd himself three times in the stomach before cutting off his p3nis with a knife.
Isa is believed to have carried out the act as his ex-wife, Bayanxe Modu, whom he had divorced three times, refused to return to his house.
‘He said if Bayanxe doesn’t love him again, then his gbola too must go’, a neighbour revealed.
Modu Isa was rushed to the hospital following the incident. Medics performed an emergency procedure to reattach his genitals.
Authorities have confirmed that Isa’s gbola has been brought back to him and he is currently alive and responding to treatment.
