José Mujica, the former President of Uruguay known as the “World’s Poorest President” has passed away at the age of 89.
Mujica served as leader of the country from 2010 to 2015 and made some big changes in Uruguay.
During his time as President, he introduced important laws, including allowing gay marriage and the sale of marijuana.
The economy grew well under his leadership, reducing unemployment and poverty.
Mujica was known for his humility, donating most of his salary, living in a simple home, and driving an old car.
President of the Drunkards Association of Ghana, Moses Drybone Onyah has appealed to President John Mahama to create a special ministry for the group.
