A Senior High School (SHS) student has taken her own life over the arrest of her boyfriend.
The deceased, Pascaline Bemang Acheampong was a Form 2 student of Namong Senior High Technical School at Offinso in the Ashanti Region.
She was due for promotion to SHS 3.
Kasatintin.com gathered from Crime Check GH TV report that ‘The deceased who was in the boarding house is reported to have taken an exeat to visit home but rather went to her alleged boyfriend.
The girl’s father is said to have also visited the
school within the same period to see his daughter but she was nowhere to be found’.
Then, ‘the disturbed man inquired from the school’s house mistress, who told him his daughter had signed an exeat to go home.
Reports said ‘that the deceased’s father got angry and dashed to his daughter’s boyfriend’s house and got him arrested.
The young girl who was against her father’s decision reportedly ingested a poison and killed herself’.
