‘Self-retired’ Ghanaian rapper, Okyeame Kwame has heightened the quest for an answer to a critical question most music lovers have asked following the release of Beyonce’s widely publicised album, Lion King: The Gift.
American singer, Beyonce released the album, which contains 27 tracks this week. She featured Ghanaian Dancehall artiste, Shatta Wale and other top Nigerian contemporary musicians on the Lion King album.
Shatta Wale demonstrated his lyrical prowess on the track titled ‘Already’. Apparently, this song is trending and is rising so fast to be counted among the top 10 hit songs in the world.
Possibly, Shatta Wale did quite better on this song than the gibberish ones he has produced and forced us to listen to in the past.
Never feel sorry, if you have not had the opportunity to listen to the Shatta-Beyonce track by now.
The Rap Dacta Okyeame Kwame claims he has carefully listened to the new song and further assessed ‘‘…the melodic pattern, the simplicity of the lyrics and the danceability of the song…”
”…I have taken my time to look beyond the hype that a @beyonce @shattawalenima feature is going to give Ghana ( Which I really love anyway)…”, Okyeame Kwame noted in an Instagram post sighted by Kasatintin.com.
Okyeame Kwame’s verdict is that “Everything is perfect…The only thing conspicuously missing in that track is Pah! Pah! Pah! Pah! … ” .
Yes, ‘Pah! Pah! Pah! Pah! is Shatta Wale’s usual signature. It is thus a big concern as this lovely ‘hook’ has not be featured on the track he (Shatta Wale) performed with Beyonce.
It is obvious that the producers of the Lion King album expected nothing less than a classic production. Allowing Shatta Wale to use Pah! Pah! Pah! Pah! would have defaced the quality of the album.
