A white man who appeared to be cooling himself down with a bottle of beer at a gospel concert where sensational Ghanaian gospel singer Diana Hamilton performed has sparked unexpected debate on social media.
Some netizens think it is disrespectful for the white man to take alcohol while enjoying a live performance from Diana Hamilton in a fully packed auditorium.
‘Isn’t it disrespectful for the white man to be drinking beer while Diana Hamilton was performing on stage?’, one social media user noted.
But another netizen protested ‘And when did God tell you drinking beer in church was wrong? Ghanaians and the way we worship be reason things turn upside down.The bible never mentioned drinking alcohol was a sin.It said drunkeness. No be Hennesy Jesus bless for the wedding there for people?’.
Other social media users argued ‘Since he is a white man it’s not if it was a black man it will be, moral story: always be the white man’.
