Ghanaian lady Afua Asantewaa has been disqualified by the Guinness World Records(GWR).
Afua Asantewaa was hoping to set a new record for the longest singing marathon by an individual. She sung for 126 hours and 52 minutes.
She gained a lot of support from celebrities and ordinary citizens while embarking on her singathon journey but the GWR saw nothing good in her performance per the rules of the world records attempt.
Official statement by the GWR, a copy sighted by your most gossipy news website, Kasatintin.com said ‘Unfortunately Afua’s Guinness World Records attempt for the longest singing marathon was not successful, but we hope that she will make another attempt soon. We’ve seen how inspirational it has been for her fans. The evidence check had already begun before Afua requested priority service, so we refunded her payment [$750]earlier this month.
