Former President John Mahama and the National Democratic Congress (NDC) will soon challenge the 2020 presidential election results in court as the party has indicated in several media interviews that it has gathered enough evidence to support their claim that the December 7 polls was flawed.
Mahama has refused to concede defeat in the election in which the Electoral Commission declared incumbent President Nana Akufo-Addo as winner.
He stands by the view of the NDC that the election results as announced by EC chairperson Jean Mensa is flawed and rigged in favour of the ruling NPP.

The 2020 election results have been gazetted but supporters of the NDC have taken to street protest to force the powers that be to name Mahama as the President-elect.
Civil society organizations have urged the party to go to the Supreme Court if they genuinely have a case.
The General Secretary of the NDC Johnson Asiedu Nketia has said the means by which the party will go to court to challenge the results of the general elections are being blocked.
He told TV3 in an interview that the party is being denied access to some pink sheets, the primary documents upon which the election results were declared, to enable them to put their case together for possible court action.

“The NPP said it had waited to file its challenge in court until it had analysed the data from 26,000 polling stations.”
“It said it had now found irregularities such as cases of over voting and instances when people not registered by the new biometric finger-printing system were able to vote.”
