Loud-mouthed media personality, Captain Smart has asked leadership of the Church of Pentecost to forgive him over his despicable action against the church and the christian fraternity at large.
Captain Smart, who is said to be an elder of the Pentecost Church poured libation when he led a street protest dubbed ‘Fix the Country Demo’ in Accra a few days ago.
Many christians argued that this was fetish and therefore condemned the broadcaster for pouring libation during the demonstration.
On Monday, August 16, 2021, Captain Smart said he has regretted his action and called on Pentecost Church to forgive him.
Speaking on his morning show on Onua TV in Twi,monitored by Kasatintin.com, he said:
‘I visited the house of my district pastor, Atakora Wiafe and he commended me for the good work I am doing for Ghana. He however queried me for pouring libation at the ‘Fix the Country’ demonstration. But I explained to him that I was only doing the work of an okyeame [linguist].
‘He told me this goes contrary to the teachings of Pentecost Church. On this note, I pleaded with Apostle Nyamekye, the Area head, my district pastor, presiding elder and my former district pastor to forgive me’.
Captain Smart added that ‘After the discussion with my pastor I have learnt that it was a wrong step for me to pour libation. I regret my action. Kindly forgive me’.
