The Church of Pentecost has reportedly suspended Captain Smart as a member of the church.
Captain Smart, an outspoken broadcast journalist with Onua FM/TV joined the street protest #FixTheCountry on Wednesday held in Accra.
He was seen in a viral video pouring libation during the demonstration.
Holding two bottles of Schnapp, Captain Smart invoked the spirit of Osagyefo Dr Kwame Nkrumah and ancestors to deal drastically with all corrupt and bad leaders whose actions have retarded the progress of the country.
A source told Kasatintin.com that it is a sacrilege for a member of the Pentecost Church, and any good Christian, for that matter to worship idols let alone pour libation in the full glare of hundreds of people.
‘Captain Smart absolutely did not live the christ-like life, he misled many flocks to the side of the devil instead of Jesus Christ. I won’t be surprised if the church decides to suspend him today’.
Like it or not, Smart is an asset to the Church of Pentecost. He is a known chorus leader in the church. He turns the church upside-down with his praises and worship anytime she holds the mic.
In 2017, then Chairman of the Church of Pentecost, Apostle Professor Opoku Onyina paid a visit to him and his wife Afia Pokua at home.
Kasatintin.com has learnt that Captain Smart is from a royal family and has the stool name ‘Otumfour Akwamuhene Kyeame’. He serves as a linguist (‘Okyeame’).
