Ghanaian man named Iddrisu Yahaya has been arrested for posing as a lawyer in a Techiman court.
The judge became suspicious of Yahaya’s character after the suspect struggled to move a motion for bail for his clients in court.
He was representing some four accused persons involved in robbery, kidnapping and murder when he was arrested.
Yahaya, who is rather a teacher had collected GH¢25,000 from the four accused to represent them in court.
He told local media that the case in question for which he had been arrested would have been his third case in court.
According to JoyNews, the suspect said ‘I am a lawyer from prominent chambers. I schooled at Maranatha University College which is based in London but has a branch here [in Ghana] and I graduated just last year so I have been in the profession for close to two years’.
‘I have represented two cases so far and this is my third case’. SOURCE: Kasatintin.com
