Flashback: It is exactly 60years since U.S. President John F. Kennedy was assassinated. He died at age 46.
Today, November 22,2023 the world is remembering the most notorious political murder in American history and considering possible security measures to ward off the recurrence of such event.
John F. Kennedy, the 35th U.S. President (1961–63), was shot and killed while riding in a presidential motorcade (open car) through Dealey Plaza in Dallas, Texas.
Kennedy was in the vehicle with his wife, Jacqueline, Texas Governor John Connally, and Connally’s wife, Nellie, when he was fatally shot from the nearby Texas School Book Depository by former U.S. Marine Lee Harvey Oswald.
The motorcade rushed Kennedy to Parkland Memorial Hospital, where he was pronounced dead about 30 minutes after the shooting.
