Mali’s former President Ibrahim Boubacar Keita who was overthrown in the 2020 coup has died at the age of 76.
His family confirmed that Keita passed on Sunday.
‘President IBK died this morning at 09:00 GMT in his home’ in the capital, Bamako, they revealed in a media interview.
The cause of death of the African leader has not been specified.
Ex-President Ibrahim Boubacar KeitaKeita was in office for seven years, from September 2013 to August 2020 before being ousted in a military coup.
