German man Ralph Jankus, 52 is facing manslaughter charges for killing his wife in a 48-hour BDSM sex session days after their wedding.
Jankus admitted he and his wife Christel,49 enjoyed mammoth 48-hour sex session where he inserted an 8-inch- (20-centimeter) long spiked sex toy inside her, causing fatal internal damage to her intestines.
But the court has suspended his 18 months jail term.
Judge Johannes Hochgürtel of Krefeld court in the western state of North Rhine-Westphalia ruled that the fatal internal injuries that Jankus inflicted on Christel were an accident, and that he loved her.
Jankus could be set free. When questioned, he told police the sex had been consensual and that he has been taking part in BDSM sessions for the past 30 years.
