This piece of news could end the brouhaha on whether Josephine Panyin Mensah, the woman who was reported missing in Takoradi was indeed pregnant or not.
A 70-year-old woman, Maame Akua Attah who lives in the same neighborhood with Josephine and her husband, Edward Amoako Simmons has refuted claims by the police and the Western Regional Minister that Josephine was never pregnant prior to her alleged kidnapping.
Josephine who was said to be nine months pregnant went missing on September 16, 2021 whiles having a morning exercise along the street.
She was found at Axim on Tuesday, September 21 with no sign of the pregnancy or a baby.
Kasatintin.com earlier gathered that Josephine went into force labour and lost the child after her unexpected encounter with the attackers.
Two separate laboratory tests and analyses have so far been done but all proved she was not pregnant.
Maame Akua Attah still have doubts about the authenticity of the medical report police have communicated in their press statement.
According to her, she witnessed the marriage between the couple as well the naming ceremony of their first child.
The old woman disclosed that, as an elderly mum she was able to detect when Josephine Panyin Mensah took seed again.
Maame Akua Attah said she saw Josephine’s baby bump, physically examined it and also recommended local herbs for her to keep the unborn baby active.
She was hopeful Josephine will deliver her second born safely so she can take care of the baby as a grandmother.
Maame Akua Attah is saddened by information from authorities that describes the pregnancy she can attest to as fake.
