A 30-year-old man, Sherif Abdullai, has confessed to killing 15 people, including night watchmen and mentally challenged individuals, in the Upper West Region.
Abdullai, along with another suspect, Mahamuda Lamin, 25, was arrested in connection with the murder of a night security guard (watchman), Issah Yahaya.
According to police, Abdullai’s killing spree began in 2021, with victims found in various locations, including Bole, Banda Nkwanta, and Bamboi.
Abdullai’s confession led to the recovery of some of items belonging to including a mobile phone and solar-powered portable radio. Police also retrieved from him a sack containing cooked meat.
The suspects are currently in police custody, assisting with investigations.
