President Nana Akufo-Addo has cleared the air on his visit to London to attend the coronation of King Charles III which took place today,Saturday, May 6, 2023.
The Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II and his wife, Lady Julia received an official invitation to Grace the coronation.
On Friday, Otumfuo travelled to the UK and had an engagement with King Charles III at Buckingham Palace ahead of his coronation.
‘The meeting continues to solidify the bilateral relations and mutual development of the two kingdoms and Ghana at large’, The Ashanti Nation wrote and added photos.
Earlier this morning, the international media captured Otumfuo Osei Tutu II and Lady Julia’s arrival at Westminster Abbey for the grand ceremony.
With the spotlight on the royal couple, it somewhat gave an indication that Asantehene and wife were the only dignitaries who were invited from Ghana.
A few hours ago, President Nana Akufo-Addo disclosed on Twitter that he was present at King Charles’ coronation.
