A young US model, Camilla Coleman Brooks who felt uncomfortable about her forehead and spent a decade covering it up with her fringe has had surgery to reduce the size.
Camilla, 26 and mum of two lost confidence about her 8.5cm forehead and thus, decided to hide it from public view thinking it was two centimeters larger than the average female forehead in America.
Following her desire to have an acceptable forehead, she looked into a couple of surgery options and found one which could reduce her forehead by three centimeters.
She stated that ‘for the last few years I’ve hid it under a fringe or a hat. I am so happy with the results now that I’ve had the surgery. ‘I didn’t need the procedure to make me happy, but I love how I now look.’
She paid $6,958 (£5,000) for the operation which lasted for two-and-a-half-hour.
Out of the total cost, Camilla paid $4,000 to the surgeons and the rest was meant for the anaesthesiologist and the surgery centre.
The surgery involved moving her hairline to reduce the forehead size.
Surgeons made an incision on the forehead, cutting out the area marked for removal.
They then joined the top incision with the forehead incision, effectively taking out 3cm of space.
The model has recieved compliments over her new look but has had some trolling comments too.
She has hit back at trolls saying people can do what they want with their bodies.
Camilla said ‘if you’re reading this and you want to get surgery because you don’t like something about your body, then do it. It’s up to you. It’s your body. Don’t listen to what anyone else says’.
