Some Ghanaians have jumped on the death of Jerry John Rawlings to try their luck in today’s lotto event.
The gąmblers staked the possible lotto numbers using the permutation of the birthday and day of death of the ex-president.
The lotto numbers were widely shared on social media networks.
Late Rawlings was born on June 22, 1947, in Accra and died at the Korle-Bu Teaching hospital at 10am on Thursday, November 12, 2020.
’12-11-20-73 are the lucky numbers’, Yaw Barimah, a lotto operator said ‘the numbers have something to do with Rawlings death’.
Mercy Asiedu, plantain chips seller told Kasatintin.com that ‘this is my first time of staking lotto. My heart tells me I will win big cash today’.
Emmanuel Mensah,taxi driver said ‘the economy is hard but these lucky numbers have given me hope.
I staked two sure with 22 and 6 which is the day and month Rawlings was born. I did another one 19 and 47, which reflects his year of birth -1947 at Ghc10. Didn’t stop there. I did permutation for the date Jerry died at Ghc10′.
People who placed their last coin on the game-of-fortune were disappointed during the draw by the National Lottery Authority (NLA).
