Twenty-two (22) people have been hospitalised after eating food served at a funeral they attended at Agou in the Nkwanta South Municipality of the Oti Region over the weekend.
The victims are on admission at the Nkwanta South Municipal Hospital and receiving treatment on suspected food poisoning.
Reports said they were served porridge, rice, Banku, and meat at the funeral.
Samples of the funeral food have been taken to the laboratory for examination to ascertain the cause of the alleged food poisoning.
