Veteran gospel singer Prophet Seth Frimpong has died.
The musician widely known for his hit single ‘Okumchola’ reportedly passed on in the early hours of today, Friday April 24.
Late Seth Frimpong, also popularly called the ‘Dancing Prophet’ battled with an unknown illness for some time but got fully recovered in 2017.
There are conflicting accounts of how the musician passed on.
Gospel musician Brother Sammy told 3FM that:
…The late singer, who had not been well for some time, fell from a staircase in a storey building in Kumasi last week.
According to Brother Sammy, ‘He was rushed to the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital were [sic] doctors disclosed that Prophet Seth Frimpong had suffered stroke.’
He added that the late musician was living alone because his wife and son are currently stuck in Italy and Australia.
A family member of the deceased however claims Prophet Seth Frimpong died of diabetes.
