Popular Ghanaian prophet Rev Anthony Kwadwo Boakye has died.
A close source confirmed to Kasatintin.com that Rev Kwadwo Boakye who is the founder and leader of the Resurrection Power New Generation Church (RPNC) in Kasoa Ngleshie Amanfrom passed away on Tuesday night (February 21, 2023) at the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital.
Rev Kwadwo Boakye, who would have turned 64years on February 29 suffered a long-term ailment that left him with mild stroke in 2021.
Although not well, he took part in a 21-day fasting and prayer service which ended few days ago.
Rumours circulating among church members alleged that an unidentified person once attempted to squeeze Boakye’s balls while on his hospital bed with the intention to harm him. His timely screams alerted the nurses on duty to save him.
The reverend minister and his wife had a sour relationship over issues related to the management of the church. Later, Mrs Boakye left him to form her own church.
Mrs Boakye is believed to be preparing herself to assume full responsibility of the RPNC but a greater part of the church leadership and members have vowed to resist her.
