Social media users have refused to sleep over matters regarding the fake award one Kwame Owusu Fordjour with a questionable PhD doled out to some Ghanaian entertainers, business tycoons and politicians on 28th August, 2020 in Accra.
Kwame Fordjour, now nicknamed Dr UN crafted the 7th Global Leadership Service to Humanity Awards to appreciate individuals who have distinguished themselves in the field of work.
He projected the credibility of the supposed award scheme by associating it with the UN and the late UN General Secretary, Kofi Annan.
Dr UN was able to ‘scam’ high profile personalities including; broadcasters Captain Smart and Berla Mundi, musician Sarkodie, the Vice-Chancellor of the University of Ghana, Professor Ebenezer Oduro Owusu among others.
Reports however suggest that the man at the centre of the award scheme is a con man and he does not have any affiliation or link with the UN.
It is alleged that Dr UN has scammed individuals and organizations in similar fashion in the last 20 years.
