A 28-year-old student nurse, Gifty Okyere has died in her boyfriend Edmond Ayomah‘s room in Jinijini, Sunyani after a visit.
Gifty reportedly began experiencing breathing difficulties while in Edmond’s room.
Despite his attempts to assist her, she lost consciousness before medical help could arrive.
Earlier reports sparked speculation about the circumstances surrounding Gifty’s death, with some suggesting a possible connection to a botched abortion attempt allegedly orchestrated by her fiancé.
Local media report that an official autopsy report suggested that Gifty Okyere’s death was caused by an acute asthma attack, and on this evidence, the police have cleared Edmond Ayomah of any wrongdoing.
