Two students of Akwa Ibom State Polytechnic, Ikot Osurua, have died on the spot after a truck accidentally ran over them, few metres away from the school premises.
The incident happened on Monday, January 9, 2024 near Ikot Inyang village junction, along Aba Road in Ikot Ekpene Local Government Area.
The truck driver reportedly lost control of the vehicle and drove in the direction of the two female students who colleagues described as best friends.
They were ND 2 Science Laboratory Technology students and would have completed their academic programme after their practical exams on Wednesday, January 10,2024.
