The University of Professional Studies (UPSA), Accra has introduced an initiative to check the disturbing trend of improper dressing on campus.
UPSA has been in the news recently for attempting to enforce a dress code for the student body.
News reports captured moments when some students were turned away by a special task force for wearing unprescribed attire to lectures.
Now, the university has adopted a more lenient approach; it is awarding special certificates to students who are considered to have rigorously complied with the recommended dressing standards of the university.
A statement on UPSA’s official Facebook page Kasatintin.com has sighted read ‘Congratulations to 𝐄𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐚 𝐘𝐞𝐛𝐨𝐚𝐡 𝐀𝐦𝐩𝐨𝐟𝐨, a second-year Banking and Finance student, and 𝐉𝐨𝐬𝐡𝐮𝐚 𝐊𝐨𝐟𝐢 𝐒𝐞𝐥𝐨𝐫𝐦 𝐁𝐨𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐠, a third-year Accounting student, for emerging as UPSA’s Best Dressed Students for October 2025!
The Best Dressed initiative celebrates UPSA’s commitment to scholarship and professionalism, while grooming students to take their personal branding seriously’.
Will this initiative yield any positive results? Send in your comments.
