Host of Angel FM Morning Show, Captain Smart has been taken off air indefinitely for allegedly using his programme to speak against the poor governance of President Nana Akufo-Addo.
The presenter is reported to have criticised President Akufo-Addo and his vice Dr Mahamudu Bawumia as well as Trade and Industry Minister, Alan Kyerematen for failing Ghanaians after raising their hopes that they will be better off when the party comes to power.
Captain Smart has also been accused of making the ruling NPP government unpopular particularly at the peak of #FixTheCountry campaign and also blasting the Inspector General of Police (IGP) James Oppong Boanuh.
Social media users have fired back as some people believe Smart was kicked out due to political interference.
But General Manager of Angel FM, Kwadwo Dickson reveals Captain Smart has been suspended effective Thursday, May 6, 2021, and he was directly sanctioned by Chairman of the Angel Group of Companies, Dr Kwaku Oteng.
The suspension, Mr Dickson added, came after the presenter failed to heed to advice and warnings to desist from ‘attacking’ President Akufo-Addo and co. on his programme.
