Five suspects charged by the Asokwa Dristrict Court with the murder of a mobile money vendor at Kwadaso in Kumasi have been remanded into prison custody for two weeks.
The accused persons, Martin Amoah, alias Baba Macho, Charles Kwame Danso, Philip Fordjour, Samuel Adae Mensah, and Mavis Gyasi are facing three charges—murder, conspiracy to commit murder, and robbery.
Counsel for the fifth accused, Mavis Gyasi, applied for bail for his client, but the request was declined by the court presided by Her Worship Amy Bondzie Hanson.
The trial has been adjourned the case to April 23, 2025 as Police prosecutors prayed the court to remand the suspects into prison custody to allow for further investigations.
