Some men are simply not interested in marriage.
29-year-old Mary Ama Nyorkey found trouble for herself after she decided to persuade her boyfriend, whom she has dated for so many years to officially seek for hand in marriage.
Mary’s fiance, Delali Kwasi Atakpa regrettably got infuriated and responded to the request by beating her up mercilessly.
Delali had suggested that Mary could move in with him in the interim whiles they hold their marriage ceremony at a later date.
Mary however refused, insisting that they needed to perform the necessary customary rites first before they can stay together.
This did not go down well with him. Delali got upset and said he was also not ready to pick up any engagement list and proceed with the marriage.
He begun to ‘discipline’ Mary – like a boxer – for holding on to her thought. Reports say Mary lost her tooth, had swollen face and deep cuts on her back as well as other parts of her body.
Kasatintin.com gathers that Mary has been treated and discharged from the hospital but her fiance is currently on the run.
The police have mounted a search for the suspect after Mary lodged a formal complaint.
The two are said to be residents of Adeiso Amankrom in the Eastern Region.
