Former Finance Minister Ken Ofori-Atta, once declared a ‘wanted person’ and ‘fugitive from Justice’ by the Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP), now plans to return to Ghana and subject himself to corruption investigations.
The OSP announced in a news release dated February 18,2025 that counsel for Mr Ofori-Atta has reached out to the office and indicated a definite date that he will travel back to Ghana and assist with investigations.
The OSP believes that the former Finance Minister will voluntarily present himself on the agreed timeline.
On this basis, the OSP no longer describes Ken Ofori-Atta as a fugitive.
However, he will be put back on the OSP wanted list should he fail to show up as negotiated.
